Our ministry is to partner with the families of our children. To support the family by encouraging their child to KNOW Jesus as Savior, grow to LOVE, and begin to SERVE Christ.

Therefore we purpose to:

-impact kids with the message of Jesus' love.

-encourage kids to accept Jesus as their personal Savior.

-challenge kids to continually grow in their faith through practical      Biblical teaching and positive role modeling.

Kids matter at Community Bible!  Church must be a place where children feel at home.  Home is not only a place of comfort and security but also a place where lessons are learned that help kids live out their lives.  It is important that children feel included and very much a part of the larger family.  We want God's house to be a "home away from home", where everyone is welcome...right down to the youngest member.

It is our purpose to impact a generation of children.  We want kids to realize that God's has a plan for this world and how they are and can be a part of the greater picture...even as a child.  We realize that without God as the centre focus of life, that life is without purpose and direction.

It is our job as the church to assist parents in imparting Godly values, principles, character and compassion in the hearts of children.  Because children matter to God, Community Bible seeks to make each child welcome, taught and cared for and are encouraged to impact their world in their own very space called C-KIDS.

If you have any question that is not answered here on the website, please contact our Children's Ministry Leadership Team.

We believe that. . .

  • Our ministry to children is an awesome privilege and responsibility. We understand that we are shaping children during the most influential period of their lives.
  • Our children should not only learn Biblical truth but also experience the One who is the truth. That God is real and that a personal relationship with Him gives meaning to life.
  • We will aid each family to reach each child in accepting Jesus Christ and developing a dynamic relationship with Him.
  • Children are a gift from God (Psalms 127:3) and ensure a safe and secure learning environment.

Special Procedures for Your KIDS

We realize that when visiting a new church, it is common to have questions.  Hopefully, the information presented below will address any concerns.

We want your contact with our ministry to be pleasant, enjoyable and life-changing.

Is my child safe?

Yes!  Our system provides a label with matching numbers for parents and children.  The  preschool children's labels also serve as their name tag, with the elementary children receiving a plastic tag.  Children are only released to adults with tags that have matching numbers.

Each member of our staff and volunteer ministry team who work with the children follows an application process which includes a security background check.

What if my child needs me?

Your family ID# will be displayed on the video screen in the auditorium.

Registration

You will be asked to fill out a Visitor Form the first time you sign in your child.  Upon your fourth visit the Children's Ministry Registration form will be required.  Please call the church office to change phone numbers or addresses if you move.

Where do I drop off my child?

Parents or caregivers will check their preschool and elementary children in at the "Children's Check-in Desk" located in the lobby on the east side of the building.

Infants and toddlers are check-in at the nursery entrance by the nursery caregivers.

What is expected of you when you drop off your child?

  1. Make sure you label your child's diaper bag, bottles and/or pacifiers.

  2. Nursery age children go directly to the nursery for check-in.

  3. Sign in your child and fill out the appropriate information.

  4. Receive a security pass and keep it with you at all times.

  5. Deliver your child to one of our caregivers.

What is expected of you when you pick up your child?

  1. Return your security pass to a caregiver.

  2. Collect any items that you may have brought.

  3. Receive a happy child.

We ask that no toys be brought to into the rooms.  We have toys, books, etc. for the children to enjoy. Bringing personal items into the classrooms usually becomes a source of conflict.  Lost and found items will be retained for a short time.  Items not claimed after one month will be donated to a charitable organization.

Opening and Closing Times

The classrooms generally open 10 minutes before all services and 10 minutes after all services.  Please be prompt in picking up your child.

Health Issues

In order to ensure the safety and health of all children and caregivers, we can not provide care for any child who has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:

diarrhea

vomiting

fever

open sores

green or yellow runny nose

a questionable rash

If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he/she should have received treatment at least 24 hours before coming to the nursery or classroom.  If your child becomes ill while in our care, you will be notified promtly.

We ask our caregivers to follow these same guidelines.

Medications

Children Ministry volunteers will not give out any medications.  Please return to care for your child's medical needs at the appropriate times.

Diaper Changing

If your child requires a diaper change, you will be paged.  Changing facilities are located in the nursery and central washroom on the main floor.
