Prayer underlies everything we do at Community Bible Church.  Prayer makes a difference. Here are several opportunities for participating in prayer at CBC:

• Prayer before the Sunday service. We pray for the Sunday service and Sunday school.
• Prayer after the Sunday service.  Prayer teams are available in the Prayer Room after the 9 a.m. service for anyone who has prayer requests.  As well, anyone wishing prayer may approach anyone wearing a "Prayer Team" tag after both services in the auditorium or in the hallways.
• Drawing Near to God, the weekly prayer group: Everyone is welcome to attend the weekly prayer group, meeting in The Loft in the church building. We pray about church ministries and personal and national issues.
• Special prayer events. Among these are prayer-walks and occasional Sunday-evening prayer gatherings focusing on a specific theme.
• A prayer mailbox is available outside the prayer room for everyone who wishes to submit a written prayer request. The pastor and the prayer team will pray for them.

The King is Calling: This is a blog on prayer - short items to encourage you in your life of prayer. The King is God who is reaching out to you and wants to talk with you. The blog includes references to scripture, to books on prayer, to people of prayer, and to stories of prayer.

The apostle James said: "You do not have because you do not ask." Prayer is our chance to ask and to worship our God who loves us.
