Prayer Group: Drawing Near to God

The weekly prayer group resumes meeting in "The Loft" at the church on January 11, 2012.  The group prays about church ministries, missions, national and international issues, and personal matters.

What is a Community Small Group?

Community Small Groups are small communities where people can meet together, learn together,laugh together, cry together,grow together and pray together.Community Small Groups are a place that inspire your faith in God and challenge you to be God's love to those around you. Community Small Groups are a place where you can really get to know people and develop strong friendships . They provide opportunities to lean on each other and sharpen each other as we spend time in God's Word. Community Small Groups are about facing the crossroads of real life together.

MONDAYS
Location: Kanata (Katimavik) Host: Jim & Barb Boyd Topic: The Truth Project Leader: Jim Boyd Time : 7:00pm - 8:45pm Desc : "we are what we believe" "we are what we think" Do you agree with these statements? Is how we act really linked to what we believe? Do you like how you act ? Do you wonder why your Christian life doesn't look much different than the non believers around you? Many people today – unfortunately, most people – don’t seem to think that there is any universal standard of absolute truth. Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers.  A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy, and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is.  We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation. This study aims to be a catalyst for examining one's  personal worldview, which we define as "the set of individual truth claims which I embrace so deeply that I believe they reflect what is really real – and therefore they drive what I think, how I act, and what I feel."  This study discusses the importance and relevance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
